Roast pig with apple sauce in buns, plus cold food, sandwiches and crisps.
The bar is open from 3 pm, so Bob should be fine. Ruth has the Prosecco covered.
Or earlier, if you need to be sensible. We won’t judge much, or maybe we will!
Getting to the Windlesham Club
Please use GU20 6AA in your sat nav and check your route before setting off.
The Windlesham Club is on Kennel Lane in Windlesham, with nearby routes from the M3, M25, A30 and surrounding areas including Bagshot, Lightwater, Camberley and Ascot.
For the final stretch, follow signs towards Windlesham and Kennel Lane. Once you’re nearby, your sat nav should do the hard work, which is useful because we are organising a birthday party, not running a transport department.
If you are planning to enjoy the bar, please arrange a lift or book a taxi in advance.
Parking, taxis and sensible decisions
There is parking on site at The Windlesham Club, including around the tennis courts, and there is also plenty of off-road parking nearby. Please still allow a little extra time to arrive, park and find the right entrance, because nobody wants their grand entrance to be a slightly flustered lap of Kennel Lane while the roast pig is already underway.

A practical option if you want somewhere straightforward, budget friendly and unlikely to come with a spa menu.
The Royal Foresters, Ascot - Fancy Pants Rating: 3/5
A pub and hotel with a bit more character. Good for anyone who wants something nicer than a standard chain hotel, but does not require a dressing gown.
Macdonald Berystede Hotel & Spa, Ascot - Fancy Pants Rating: 4/5
Comfortable, smart and spa friendly. A solid choice for anyone who wants to arrive relaxed, leave full, and possibly discuss the steam room.
Pennyhill Park, Bagshot - Fancy Pants Rating: 5/5
Luxury hotel and spa territory. Perfect if you want to celebrate Bob’s 80th and then recover as though you have just completed a royal tour.
